Bell Bank secures naming rights for $280 million sports, entertainment complex

The 320-acre facility will be named Bell Bank Park and is scheduled to open in January 2022.

The partnership with Legacy Sports USA and Oak View Group Facilities, the managers and operators of the facility, was announced Tuesday, Sept. 21.

Financial details of the deal were not released.

The facility will feature a multi-purpose arena and outdoor 2.7-acre great lawn for concerts and events, plus indoor and outdoor facilities for soccer, baseball, softball, football, lacrosse, futsal, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, gymnastics, cheer, dance, obstacle course racing, multi-use arcade and e-sports, family fitness, youth camps and recreational sports, and performance training.

According to the website bellbankpark.com, facilities include:

  • 8 softball and baseball fields
  • 19 basketball courts
  • 35 soccer, football and lacrosse fields
  • 57 indoor volleyball courts
  • 12 beach volleyball courts
  • 41 pickelball courts
  • 22 futsol courts
  • 80-plus esports stations and competition stage

Bell Bank Park is expected to have a significant economic impact on Mesa and the East Valley area. It is expected to create more than 1,500 jobs and attract 5 million visitors annually.
