Melinda Watt, Chair and Christa C. Mayer Thurman Curator of Textiles, and Jordana Munk Martin, founder of the textile-centered archive, library, and journal TATTER, examine Morris and Company’s enduring aesthetic and its affect on modern arts and crafts.

About the Speaker

Jordan Munk Martin conceived of and released a unique textile study room and adjacent education facility in Brooklyn, NY, for the goal of textile study, visible inspiration, and scholarship. Blue: The Tatter Textile Library is dwelling to around 6,000 guides and textile objects. The adjacent workshop provides about 50 workshops per 12 months as effectively as guide activities and gatherings. Programming steers toward a preservation of ethnographic textile strategies in up to date themes. People to the library include things like artists, designers, costumers, historians, and much more.
