June 4 Arts & Crafts competition revives 48-yr custom

Blended Roots of Bluffton, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity-Allen County Restore, has adopted the Bluffton Arts and Crafts Competition which was formerly a application of the Bluffton Chamber of Commerce. Prior to the pandemic, the function was held in Bluffton for 48 several years, earning it a person of the longest operating art festivals in Ohio.

In accordance to organizer Katelyn Gainok, this year’s event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at a new site at 246 Cherry St., Bluffton. Gainok is the supervisor of Blended Roots and is working with a festival committee of Sheena Dotson, Blended Roots proprietor, Julia Keiser, Blended Roots internet marketing and Pat Rodabaugh, competition specialist.

The competition will supply buyers high quality handmade items from a wide wide variety of artisans, musical enjoyment and delicious edibles from several meals vehicles.

There will be crafting chances and experience painting for small children. The new venue has a good deal of parking to accommodate consumers.

UPCYCLE RECYCLE CONTEST

Caleb Farmer of The Restore of Lima will maintain an “Upcycle Recycle Contest” and prizes will be awarded at the demonstrate. Entries in the contest will be auctioned to elevate funds for Habitat for Humanity. (See connected flyer underneath)

FODD AND MUSIC HIGHLIGHTS

Vendors from all around the point out will offer their wares on and about the grounds of Blended Roots. Pieces of Cherry Avenue and Railroad Street will be shut off to accommodate the vendor booths and meals vans. From 10:00-11:00 a.m. Ron Bowerman will existing Indigenous American flute audio adopted by Charlie Saylor and The Standard Suspects, supplying acoustic typical rock from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Hungry purchasers can take pleasure in tacos and Mexican foods from Taco Fiesta Hinojosa or snack on glazed nuts from Double D’s Nuts. Jay Lugibihl will present delicious home made ice cream and Dawn Shafer will have smoked meats out there from her food stuff truck.

Artisans featuring other styles of foods products and solutions will also be on hand. Alex Arnos will present honey and honey products and solutions from Arnos Apiaries. The Mustached Honey Bee owned by Ty Shelby will also have honey and honey products for sale. Angie Lorenz of Backyard garden Thyme, LLC will present cottage meals objects along with her tub/system products and solutions.

DEMONSTRATIONS AND Vendors

Becky Dotson of Family Candle will display wax art candle making inside of the retail store, whilst Denise Adams of Willow and Wax will provide candles, tumblers and clothing outside the house. Ron Bowerman will current wooden carving demonstrations and local artist Joellen Lehman of Folly Faces LLC will do experience painting for youngsters.

A number of distributors will provide dwelling decor and woodcrafts: MD Household Accents, Boldman Woodworks, Rick Giese, Eva Holbrook, Caryn Johnson, 8 Nine Layouts, 1 Innovative Route and 3 Oaks.

Artisans selling sewn things, bath and body solutions and jewellery are also broadly represented: C-Squared Sewing, Hand and House Co., Lisa’s Homespun, Rustic Bendz, Nana’s Hold It Normal, Sew What Sisters, Azure’s Incredible $5 Addiction, Merrill Marie Soapworks, Kat Luginbuhl Patterns, Vintage Sisterhood Co., 2nd Odds by Mary, Devine Models ,Artistic Crafts and Butterfly Ink.

Pottery and gnomes are readily available from Linda Renee’ Pottery and Sara’s Crafting.  Handmade canine equipment are supplied by Pearl and Gi Models and images by Photo Me This.

VILLAGE OF BLUFFTON BOOTH

The Village of Bluffton will have a booth established up for a meet and greet with village officers who want to welcome suppliers and consumers alike to get pleasure from all that is supplied at this year’s arts and crafts exhibit.

The festival is three minutes from I-75 working with exits 140 and 142.
